Christmas Suprise

This was Blakeleigh's first Christamas and Kennleigh's third.  They had a blast.  Blakeleigh really loved the paper more than the gifts.  She did love her noise making toys though better than anything.  If you pressed a button and it sang o she thought she was in heaven and if we could just all of them going at once the better and louder those little giggles are.  SO she has advanced her speech a little as well she is now saying mom instead of ma ma ma ma.   She said Bop this morning as well I guess he has been working on this with her when she spends the night.  She is also saying bye bye and Da da.  She is trying so hard to walk and she will stand up and just wobble a little and sit back down and clap.  She thinks it is so cute when she does something new and then she just claps for her self.  She got a push toy for Christmas and she is zooming everywhere with it and getting brave and trying to let go.  It is so cute to watch her blossom and grow with that sweet little grin.  I can hardly wait for 6:00 to roll around and when she hears me getting ready she starts out with ma ma ma ma.  SHe doesn't cry she is so happy and just waits patiently while you finish getting ready to come resucue her from the bed.  On Saturdays that sweet little thing will let me sleep til 7:30 but after that you are pushing your luck most days.  Me and Kennleigh had to adjust to this time we like to sleep til 9:00.  It is so cute some mornings Kennleigh replys to blakeleigh's giggles "Child somebody needs to teach you to rest"

Kennleigh had a special suprise this Christmas Santa Clause made a special delivery and brought Grayson our new puppy.  SHe is adorable to:)  Who would have thought I would be washing Kennleigh's dog and feeding, watering, and taking it to potty----- never in a million years!!! I guess it just something that makes you do unusual things when your 3 years old prays that God will send a dog to the north pole becuase her momma ran over her puppy and sent it to heaven.  Really, Give mom a break here.  O know then what does she do peak out the corner of her eye pretend to cry and say Jesus I know that you would like to bless me with a dog cuz i need one I really need one.  O my i wanted to laugh but I couldn't.  Before Santa brought the dog I decided to take kennleigh to the pound and pick out a puppy which they were holding a pickeneese for me which turned out to be a pit bull.  How you mix the two up I will never know.  When I told Kennleigh you can't get that puppy sweetie it want stay little she folded out her bottom lip it goes to quivering and she and me by this point are crying in the middle of the animal shelter. PITIFUL RIGHT?  Well Santa saved the day and found us a Shi tzu:) she is happy, were happy, everybody is happy and that is important right? YES
Kennleigh reminded me of robert with her little lip a quivering i think someone gave her lessons just not sure who.  Even the lady in the Animal shelter wanted to cry to.  I am telling yall it was bad. One lady even offered her you can have this one( a full grown cocker spaniel) Kennleigh says its not what I prayed for but thanks.  I am glad Santa delivered what she prayed for:)
They also got a play house which they absolutley love it was sweet when kennleigh got the phone out of the house pretends to call santa and say thank you so much for the dog and the playhouse i love it.  SHe makes my heart melt.

Funny story of CHristmas eve night--- Santa came to granny's house just as he always does to see the kids before making his deliver Kennleigh dives on aunt kerri screaming help me aunt kerri lane.  Sad that she is scared of Santa but aunt Kerri was eating it up.

I really enjoyed this Christmas being able to spend time with our family and explaining to kennleigh that we get to celebrate Christmas because of Jesus' birthday.  We sang and ate a reese's cup for his birthday party:) that was Kennleigh's idea

The Dirty Santa Party

Well I don't know why it took me so long to blog about our dirty Santa Party at Lauren and David's house.  We had a blast We first had to fight over Vicki's Present that she opened it just matched all our decorations this year.  Then it was the visa gift card.  Anyway, we played pictionary and I must say the boys thought they could pull cheating over on us, but we caught them red handed.  We had great time with food, fun, and fellowship.  I am so glad that ZiZi kept the kids so that we were able to attend.  I can't help but wander if she will really volunteer for next year she did have a good many little ones that night.  Anyway thanks for the invite Lauren and David and thanks to Zizi for the babysitting service the kids had a blast.

The Polar Express

We had a great time on our first annual trip to the Polar Express in Calera.  The kids were so good we left early enough for them to take a nap on the way up, but well that did not work as planned except for Blakeleigh, SHe is our little sleeper:) Jonathan and Kennleigh laughed all the way their.  We went to Mcdonalds to get some chicken nuggets- the babies choice- and then we went to get our tickets.  We have been looking forward to this trip for quit sometime and We were like little kids counting down the days, but thats okay right?  We boarded the train at 8:00 and headed to the North pole when we arrived Santa and Mrs. Clause came right to us first and the Kids where so happy to see them all but Kennleigh she wanted to play shy, but she did tell santa what she wanted.  Then we had Chocolate Milk and Cookies with Santa and headed back to the station.  After we got there we got back in the car to arrive at home around 11:30.  WE let the kids play in the gift shop with the Thomas the train track and they had a blast:) I can not wait to go back next year!!!!!!! I must tell that since Kennleigh would not take a picture with Santa that Dad took her place and got one with Mrs. clause it was just funny... probably would have had to be there! Well and then agian I am not sure if that would have helped either the people in front of us ask WHat in the world is so funny..  I wanted to say loosin up lady its okay you can laugh too, this is suppose to be fun not TORTURE! SO needless to say we had a great time the kids are still talking about the ride on the train and that makes all of our hearts smile.  I am so glad that Casey was able to tag along with us so she could tell Kennleigh some new stories on the way to Calera.  All the babies just adore Aunt Casey and it was such a disappointment that Uncle Travis had to work since he is Kenneleigh's best friend in the whole wide world.. but she managed.

Kennleigh's post

SO hard to beleive that I was getting ready for Kennleigh's very first Christmas two 3 years ago.  Wow! time definetly flies.  Anyway me and her got to spend a little time this morning for a second visit to Dr. Young's office.  We went a couple of weeks ago to find out that Kennleigh has a lazy eye and that she seems to be both near and farsighted we find out today.  I fill like a complete idiot that I have not noticed this.  Infact the only reason we went is becasue our pediatrician said that age three they make there first visit there.  Anyway,  We went back today after making a stop to get a hamburger biscuit (sausage Biscuit) to see if any changes had been made to the eyes.  We then went to lens crafters and got our very first pair glasses- she is so excited.  I let her pick out her glasses all by herself, so what if they are hot pink with 3 flowers down each leg, I mean she is just expressing herself right?  While waiting on the glasses to be made we went down the mall and got a corn dog at flames, Kenn kenn's request:) She then figured out I had to be at work at 1:30 and wanted to take her time and shop and ride the horses in the mall.  Bless her heart I will have to take her back she was pitiful but I need some time with just you mom.  I brought her to work with me and Shane came and picked her up..... THank GOd for a understanding boss, she has been so good to me ,and she is a wonderful co- worker we seem to get along so good.  I love my job in case you can't tell:-) Kennleigh left my office crying it was so sad so I promised chicken nuggets for supper.  Hope it makes it all better:-) SO today I realize my little angel that I was holding in my arms on her first CHristmas morning is not so little anymore she looks like a big girl with her new glasses its kinda sad to think about it.  I told her today put these on and let momma see if they look cute, and her reply back is I am a big girl let me sit in the chair with all these glasses and look in the mirror....tear.... No I am good really she did not realize Momma could see in the mirror too.  On the way home she says this is so cool momma thanks for my glasses I can see the writing on that sign, and the car is got his red lights on in front of you...I thought this was too cute so maybe she wwill enjoy the glasses:)

lots of catching up on........

Well it has been a while so I am going to set back and enjoy the catch up time.......

Thanksgiving
We had a great thanksgiving with lots of family.  This was Blakeleigh first thanksgiving so the first thing I am thankful for was our little edition this year.  The first few months of her life were quit scary for me due to a few problems she was having, but Thank GOd it was only from a milk allergy.  We did stay a few nights a Children's Hospital but now we are great God indeed worked a miracle in my little girls life.  We are ten months old now and enjoying ice cream and Whole milk.  That indeed is answered prayer.  I am also thankful the daily blessings we recieved his year.  I am thankful for Kennleigh and Shane.  When God blessed me with my family he sure did a great job.  I could not ask for anything any better.  We have had so man opportunties this year, and we have enjoyed the ride of life.  ON thanksgiving we went and ate lunch with Shane's family.  Kennleigh however went with Nannie, Papa, Tat, and Tops to aunt Pats for Thanksgiving lunch.  I have heard so much about the trips of the mule made that day and riding the gator.  She had a great time.  We then went to granny and paw paw's for supper and enjoyed playing outside riding the jeeps and tractors with landon, sidney, and jonathan.  We ended all thanksgiving eatings on Sunday at nannies where the christmas fun began with the little ones they got to open there first gifts and they were estatic.

Black Friday

I have never laughed so hard in my entire life......... we had a blast we ate breakfast that morning at dennys.  More than finding a bunch of deals and knocking people down to get t.v.'s and things of this nature we decided to spend family time. It has been a long time since I was able to that and I had a blast.  Next year I look forward to going shopping again.  However, we did find some great deals.  The highlight of the night was when i got tripped up trying to get out of the back of the expedition and just busted my rear end... Thank the Lord I did not get hurt but I believe we all laughed for it seemed like hours about it.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving

We started our Christmas tradition by going to enterprise to ride through the driveways of about five houses to look at the Christmas lights....It was beautiful...Granny, Paw, Me, Shane, Blakeleigh, and Kennleigh, and Ree all rode the same vehicle while Ashley, Jonathan, Mom, and Dad rode the other truck.  WE all followed along did a little walmart shopping, ate at Sante Fe and rode through to see the lights.  Jonathan and Kennleigh were so excited they loved the lights.  I can't wait to take them to the zoo and all the other things we have lined up.  On the way home we sang the 12 days of Christmas just to aggitate the driver (Granny).  We did indeed laugh a lot and its all about the memories right?

Better late than never....

The last several days have been pretty wild...... Blakeleigh bug went back to the doctor for her nine month check up as well as to find out we had strep and ear infection.  She has been one sick little girl.  It is fun to sit up at night if you are doing things you enjoy such as wrapping Christmas presents, playing with the children, and baking anyway you get the point.  However, it is quit sad to sit up at night with a sick baby that you feel so helpless because there is absoultly nothing you can do:-(

9 month check up

  • so Blakeleigh is in the 95% for her height
  • She is 50% for her weight
  • she is crawling everywhere
  • she is pulling up on everything
  • she gives sugars with her mouth wide open ( it is precious)
  • we are saying Ba BA, Da da, ma ma
  • she is still sleeping all night
  • she has six teeth now
  • she is getting a sense of humor and fighting kennleigh for toys
  • she love a sippy cup
  • she is a great eater she loves peas, butter beans, and mac n cheese Oh and Edy's butterfinger Icecream

Kennleigh

she is growing up way to fast.  We got a big girl hair cut yesterday and some new shampoo and conditioner.  She is trying to wash her own hair and she is singing in church.  We went to the adult daycare center to sing the other day and she has already been ask to come back.  God is trul blessing in Kennleigh's life.  I am so proud of her.  I just smile everyday when I wake up and look at my two beautiful little girls that God has blessed me with.  I have had a enjoyable time raising them and doing fun things each day.

Thank You Lord for blessing me and my family.  I am so blessed to be alive and raising my little girls and spending time with my family.

So much fun.... painting and baking

Our Saturday morning started pretty early like somewhere around 4:30.  We had a big day planned from showers to picking up pecans and even some grocery shopping.  However, our plans changed quickly.  We got a call about 4:30 saturday morning that the ambulance was on the way to get David, my brother- in law,  I new it must be pretty bad beings that David never goes to the doctor.  I began to pray that what ever the problem that God would see fit to work quick and work things out for David. Indeed that he did.  I find it sort of humerous today that after all David had been through while laying on the bed waiting on the ambulance he was super worried that the ambulance would frighten Breanna.  I told sherrie that Shane would come and get Breanna and we would put her to bed at our house.  I heard David say I am just worried about Breanna, so in the middle of the David's heart attack his kids were is top priority.  I had to tell Sherrie to remind David that Lexie loves staying with aunt Leigh and that I would take extremely good care of Breanna that we love both girls so much.  I also told sherrie that Breanna and Kennleigh could pile up in my bed and then play when they woke up.  David agrees that this is best.  This is for you David.... We had a blast hugs that early in the morning from two very cute three year olds, both with little curly heads you just can't resist.  I then got up with Breanna about 6:30 and we had a tea party, with Chocolate milk.  Then Kennleigh and Breanna played with the little tikes ironing board and iron and ironed there clothes for the day.  They did have so much fun.

So around 9 Maw maw come and got Breanna, and Tat come and got Blakeleigh and Kennleigh.  They were a big help so that me and shane were able to go see about David and Sherrie in Montgomery.  Since David was in CCU and we could only visit from 10:00 to 10:30 and 1:00 to 1:30 and then not again until 5:30 we decided that instead of Sherrie just sitting in the waiting room all day we would take her to get something to eat for lunch and then something to snack on since they would be there a while.  Praise the Lord all is well with David and God has truly blessed with a speedy recovery.

Sunday we had such an exciting day it was fifth sunday which in the Baptist world we don't have the night service at church.   SO I got Lexie from aunt Faye early Sunday morning and we headed to church.  The kids were good during church all three of them.  SO after church the kids and I decided to go to burger king and then to walmart.  I know people probably thought I was crazy for taking three kids to town that are that close in age, but really we had no trouble at all.  Blakeleigh was sleepy so Kennleigh sang Joy is mine going through walmart, might I add people just looked and smiled at the way she was putting her to sleep. It was pretty sweet, and it could have been worse if Kennleigh did not sing that meant I was going to have to.  Actually we have done that a few times as well.  THe older girls were extremly sweet and minded well. They rode the big buggy bus I like to call it with the Two seats attached on the back for toddlers.  For being good I told them they could get a prize so they picked out cookie icing and sprinkles ( a big bottle of sprinkles each).  I bout some stuff to make sugar cookies and we took a roller and let them roll out the dough then take their cookie cutter and cut butterfly shapes.  I then placed the cookies in the oven and while they were cooking We painted Christmas ornaments.  We had so much fun the girls laughed, painted, decorated cookies, and then even had to feed me a bite of the cookie because they were pretending to be the momma.  They took there cookies and put pink and green icing on them and then bright and pastel colored sprinkles after they came out of them oven.  We made a big mess... but all messes can be cleaned.  I acutally think if my sweep n vac could talk it might even say Lord have mercy do not give those girls sprinkles again.  However we are already planning another day to bake and decorate we had so much fun :-)

Pictures to come!

From the Agriculture expo to a night at the Fair

Dad, Shane and Zack's Tuesday Morning started bright and early.  They decided on Monday they would take a road trip to Georgia.  I must say that papa, Robert, and Major was able to take over at the chicken houses to make this trip possible for th boys.  I just love they way they all work together so that each of them are able to enjoy different areas of life.  Robert has been there to help out for many years now.  He was there when no one else was so that dad could go to our football games, rodeos, and family trips and for this I would like to say a special thanks from the bottom of my heart.  The boys did indeed have a wonderful time I hear at the expo.  Shane says they saw several types of equipment. He said he was beyond describing at the amount of things that were there.  I do believe they even went for a little farm shopping, not that they told us, we just happen to notice Zack's new rubber shoes.  I am thankful that they were able to go and have a day of just farm talk and lots of fun.  I think it is important that we spend time with the ones that we care about.  The expo did not end this fun filled day though it was a night at the fair with the entire family.
Our family I would say has always been unique, others may not think so but I do.  I feel that we are able to have fun no matter what.  We told Kennleigh and Jonathan that we were going to the fair.  Well for Jonathan he was good with anything it just did not matter.  Kennleigh on the other hand had lots of questions on the ride down.  "Tat, tell me what is goin be like."  Before we got this questioned answered she already had a ton more.  When we got there she was just so overwhelmed at all of the fun rides as well as the lights.  It was too sweet Kennleigh saw that Jonathan was a little un easy about riding some of the different rides, but that did not stop her from being right their with him.  She said to Jonathan, come on baby I ain't gone let that man get you I will put you in that big truck and hold on to you , I promise its going to be okay.  Well needless to say it don't take much to presueade him.  Jonathan and Kennleigh climbs in the big truck and rode several rounds because jonathan refused to get out.  We did talk them into riding the elephants, the horses, and even the speedway( it slings you though and that was a bit much for Kennleigh- no tears just great big eyes.. to funny).  I am indeed very thankful for the family GOd has blessed me with and all of the fun events we are able to do together.

Family is the Best :-)

I must start by saying that God has indeed blessed me with a wonderful family.  I have always had such a close relationship with my mom and dad as well as Ashley and Zack.  In fact, on the weekends of our teenage years we looked out for each other we took Zack on dates with us. Before we started dating Me and Ashley would convince dad we needed money and then we would go shopping.  I had a great time with them growing up.. but guess what the good time has not stopped.  I remember that when we started dating we decided as brothers and sisters we wanted our spouse to be close to our family.  I can honestly say that is exactly the way that it is in the Campbell house.  Dad laughs and jokes with everyone.  I guess if he did not pick on us we simply would think he did not love us. However, SOme people may not know how to take dad sense of humor.  On the other hand, mom, myself, Shane, Ashley, Kyle Zack and Jerinda, and don't forget Jonathan, Kennleigh, And Blakeleigh would not know how to act with out his great sense of humor.  If we go somewhere as a family you can bet we will laugh the entire time.  We like this though just good clean fun.

This weekend we went to Gulf shores and Dad decided that we should go shopping in Foley and then cut across to Mobile to go through the tunnel and let the kids get that experience of life as well as take a nap on the way.  I don't know who had more fun going through the tunnel the "Big Kids" or the little.  We picked up some speed to go with the flow o traffic and the starting with what I thought was Daddy and Mommy I hear horns start to blow.   It was too funny All I could do was laugh one horn, then the other, and then another, and another.  To funny, however mos would probably seethis immature.  I say to those people enjoy life and stop worrying what others think.  IF the worse thing we every do is blow the horn at each other in the mobile tunnel so be it.  We did manage to get some Christimas shopping done.  We even put Aunt SHerinda on the carousel  with Kennleigh and Jonathan.  I would have rode with my kids but then I would have fell off from being dizzy.  Aunt Ashley even took a few turn as well.  We ended the family night by eating at Texas Roadhouse in Mobile.  We did have a loads of fun.  Family is so important they are the ones that always have your back no matter what.

Thankful... to have such good family

Last week I recieve a phone call that says can I have Kennleigh for the weekend.. Me: Do what? That might be a job.... lol! The voice on the other end : no she is no trouble I really want her to go with me if you don't mind.. Me: no sure its fine What time do you want her dressed.  ( this meant for a few hours on Friday night and several hours on Saturday)

Later I recieve a text message from Jerinda . Will you let Kennleigh go with us this weekend... I said sure yall have fun

SO by now I know you are wandering just who I am speaking of and that would be my wonderful Little brother Zack.  He is so sweet to the kids no wander they prefer him over me. lol

Zack and Jerinda took Kennleigh and Jonathan to the Rodeo Saturday to watch Bailey.. They had a blast.  I did not know what to do on the other hand I was a little bored.  However I found it funny that Zack and Jerinda would want to take time out with the kids.  They may not realize it but The children did have fun.  Kennleigh has talked about this trip for quit sometime.  In fact I will share a funny dramatic stroy with you.  From Kennleigh

Momma,
Guess what we did today?
Me: I have no idea?
Kennleigh: we went to the rodeo to watch Bailey and I sat in uncle Juniors lap.
ME: wow Kennleigh sounds like you had a lot of fun.
Kennleigh: Yep Guess what else I did
Me: I don't know .. Um ate at Mcdonalds
Kennleigh : no Cracker Barrell but thats not all... Aunt Sherinda(Jerinda) took me to ride the bulls.  I said SHerinda my uncle zack is going to  be mad if you hurt his baby.  SHe said but it was fun momma.  I am not roping like uncle zack when I get big I am riding the bulls.

Too funny.... AND NO NONE OF THAT HAPPEN..... LOL

Kennleigh does have a wild imaginations .

Jonathan had a blast too, but I thinks is momma just felt a little wierd without that little boy on her hip....

Thanks again Zack and Jerinda for taking the kids and making special memories with them:)

Never a Dull Moment at the Lee house.... And we love it

So for three years now we haven't had to many quit moments in our home, and that is fine by me.  I had rather hear a child sing, giggle, and play over the television any day.  I have enjoyed the last three years with Kennleigh and now to share that with Blakeleigh, and don't forget all of Kennleigh's friends she enjoys having over.   This past monday Aunt Sherrie had a doctor appointment so this meant Kennleigh could stay with me and play with breanna all day.. They had a blast.  We started off with putting on our makeup ( boy where they expressing themselves lol) They had lipstick at there eyes and blue eye shed to ( shadow) on there cheeks it was too cute.  We then washed our faces and headed to Granny's house ( o the fenced in yard is so nice...... with the rockers on the porch...) The girls went to ride the golf cart, the jeep, and the tractors.  Well since we did not have enough people to play with we called Chloe - Kennleigh all time best friend from church, and Landan.  They had a blast... to bad Paw forgot to charge the batteries in the tractor.  We ate some easy Mac with Granny for lunch and then back out to play.  It started raining, and it was pitiful I guess they thought we would make them go home, but know Gran has a supper cool play room with a pool table, t.v., riding toys, walkers, and the list goes on.  SO we played pool and the kids even tried to help me out by sneaking the solid color balls in the pockets ( due to the fact I am not very Good) I did not correct there cheating behavior but Aunt Ree did.  I don't know why she was going to beat me anyway.  SHe is just super good at playing pool and I on the other hand am NOT!  We did indeed have a great day.  THe kids were totally exhausted.

8 months...

Well I must start my saying that it has been a long time since I have had a minute to just sit down and update the blog.  SO Blakeleigh Turned 8 months on Oct.2,2011. At eight months we are now doing the following.....

Crawling

pulling up

saying mama.... super excited

saying dada.... He as well is so excited.

she has her fear of men almost gone... tops is super excited

she loves riding the golf cart with tat and tops

And she just thinks the world of Lexie Kay..... Blakeleigh is not use to the pampering and Lexie gives
her that so she is really enjoying her.

She loves for Kennleigh to sing...  she will just giggle and squill to the top of her lungs.. it is quit funny!

she thinks that at 8:30 it is time to be sung to... it doesn't even matter if we are in the middle of walmart.. you will pat the bottom of those cute little feet and sing joy is mine

She is enjoying the Friday night football games with Momma, Daddy, and Aunt Sherrie.  I think she has figured out that daddy like to stand up..... not social event for dad like it is mom.  SO Blakeleigh and Daddy stand and are engaged in the game.... To funny

She has fallen off the bed about three times now... but thats okay its bound to happen... after the second time it happen she crawled right off and let out a big giggle.. me - my heart litterly stopped of a second I believe but she thought it was just funny.

SHe loves to give big hugs and kisses... and I enjoy recieving them.  It was too cute Sunday at church she just put her little chunky cheek right against Nannie's face... I am pretty sure Nannie was over joyed.

Blakeleigh Loves to go see Nana and Bop.  I think Nana's Peas may have a lot to do with this.... they are delicious.

Well I guess I most close by saying that this has been the most amazing 8 months of our lives.  Kennleigh is really enjoying being the big sister.  And for me and Shane we are just over joyed that God has blessed us with two sweet little girls.

Auburn Games and Fun times

So this past Saturday was super fun I hear for Shane and his Dad.  They were able to get tickets and go to The Auburn game for there birthdays.  Shane had a birthday on Sept. 20 and Mr. Roger has one today actually.  They left out early Saturday mornig, although it was a late game, this gave thems some time that they could grab some breakfast, dinner, and spend some time with a friends that now teaches at Auburn in the horticulture department.  They were able to tour the new Gym, look at the Championship Trophy and so much more.  I have heard so much about this trip and how they were able to chat without the children running around them screaming and playing.  I am a firm believer that we all need some adult time.  By saying this it just simply means to be able to have good fun and fellowship with adults and not have to try to fix bottles, change diapers, and and play hiding go seek and things of this nature.  Shane is very helpful for me to have some time alone as well.  When God placed him in my life he truly new what he was doing.  We are both able to help each other by spending time with the girls as a family an then having momma daughter time and some daddy daughter time.  I must say that shane has allowed me to do things if it nothing but run to the grocery store just me or just me and Ashley and Momma.  It is so nice to be able to talk with them and give them my undivided attentions. It is also wonderful in the same since to give the girls my undivided attention as well when we are together which is the majority of the time:-)

So Happy birthday to Shane and Mr. Roger and am I am glad that you were both able to spend this special day together.

Kenny Seales Day....

9-10-11

Well I must start by saying that to prepare for the benefit it took much work, but it was so worth the turn out.  If you missed it you truley missed a blessing.  I will never forget the way people pulled together to help one family this week.  I know it took me a little while to blog about this, but with the busy weekend, school and the babies I finally had a few minutes.  I am so thankful to have aunt Kerri who kept Blakeleigh so my hands would be free to help out however Saturday.  I would listen as people checked out at the yard sale and some gave the change just to help out.  I like the way uncle Allen preached his message GOd gave him it simply said we had to give God something to work with.  Sweet Home gave God a little and He Blessed a WHOLE LOT.  AMAZING is not the word.

During the singing when Kennleigh took my microphone and started singing it truley blessed my heart.  I thought of how I probably did my mom the same way when I was her age.  I could not help but smile.  She has never sang in front of that many people, but she was so brave.  SHe may not have sang out very loud, but GOd heard her and I did too.  I know I love to hear her joyful noise Oh and the facial expressions... I blame aunt Keri and Bro. Michael for those.  It is too cute just had to pick on them a little.  THanks to all of you who have been a part of the benefit.  I also want to say a special thanks to all of you who play such a important role in Kennleigh's life as well.  SHe does watch what is going on and she immitates everyone:)

On a Sad note we did lose a very couragious man Sunday Nite.  I did have the opportunity to go seem him Thursday.  I must say He always had pleasant smile and was so friendly.  He had so much faith. As we all know each of us have a certain time that we will be called Home as well.  I hope that all of you can say your home is Heaven just as uncle Kenny did.  I know that although our hearts are sadden I can't imagine the conversations that he is having with the other loves ones who have passed on as well.  I kinda think in my mind he probably ask Jesus where the nearest fishing pole was:)

Time sure Flies

Blakeleigh turned six months old August 2,2011.  Wow were has the time gone?  They are growing up way to fast.

Blakeleigh enjoys so many things now she is loving some butter beans and some field peas.  I know most would say I can't believe you are feeding her from the table, but who cares really she is mine, she was hungry, and now she is happy:)  If Blakeleigh is happy we are all happy she is such a great baby.  I can't wait to get home from school on Tuesdays and Thursdays and go for our golf cart ride in the evening to see the cows, then in for thirty minutes of clubhouse while I cook supper.  Oh and don't forget after we eat we do lots of playing and rocking.  I am so thankful to have Shane here in the afternoons we are able to play with the girls outside, and then come inside for Blakeleigh and Kennleigh's baths then our Bible Story, Prayer, Movie, and then bedtime is shortly around the corner.  Blakeleigh has been rolling over since she was three months.  She has learned to put her toes in her mouth- the cheapest teether I guess.  She loves the bouncey bright and her walker she is just really active these days and absolutely loves outdoors.
Tops has made it pretty high up on Blakeleigh's list since he got his kabota to take her for a stroll in the evenings, and who knew that putting a twin size mattress in the middle of the floor would be right up her alley.  She layed on the mattress Tat and Tops put in the floor the other night and played four hours. ( I guess we need to get one of these..... lol)  I have throughly enjoyed this past six months with both of my girls they are my world and without there daddy I don't know how we would make it:-)

Happy Birthday Kennleigh

On this very night three years ago mine and Shane's lives were about to change for the better.  I was put in the hospital on Aug. 21, 2008 and on Aug. 22,2008 truley bless me and Shane with our first little girl.  I can not even began to tell you how much of a blessing she has been to me.  I remember at her dedication I ask that uncle Allen sing the song by George Straight " I saw God today."  The day Kennleigh Taylor made her first appearance  it was so amazing.  When she got her I had a lot to learn, but it seemed like  being a mom was about one of the greatest honors that God has blessed me with.  I would not trade it for anything.  Don't get me wrong somedays are trying, but when they smile at you and giggle it just makes it all better.  I love nothing more than to come in from school and to see Kennleigh stand in the den while Sit down a minute and sing Peace like a river while playing her guitar.  SHe is precious.  SHe has grown up way to fast I can't believe I have been with her 3 years already.  It seems like just yesterday Dad called aunt debbie and said " Deb, SHe's here and she's just pretty.  I will never forget that.  I was so thankful to have my grandmothers and Mom,Dad, sisters, brothers, aunts, and uncles there to celebrate as Kennleigh Made her arrival weighing 8lbs and 20 and 1/2 inches long.  Well now she is 37inches tall and 32lbs.  She is still as precious to me today as she was 3 years ago.  We went from birthday partys at church in the cool air conditioner to the one this year at the dream park. I must admit though it was lots of fun.  I am so glad all of your family and friends were there to support you.  Dylan is all I have heard about for the last several days.  Funny thing from the party is I walk around the slide where Kennleigh and Dylan were playing and they were sharring the same water bottle. I said guys I have another one, and dylan says she alright I just love taking care of her.  Then I look up and they are throwing the water bottle at each other.  How cute.. I had so much fun watching them and all of the other kids who were able to come.  Thanks so much for making Kennleigh's party so special it will be one I will never forget.  Our pink cowgirl party.... turned out pretty cute I thought...

To Kennleigh:
Happy Birthday Kenn Kenn.  I love you more than life itself.  I love the way that you are so brave and take up for your little sister and Jonathan.  I just can't wait to get home from school in the after noons and hear that little voice hey mommy nommy ( not sure where this came from, but it makes it be you).  I wait to hear all about your day and well about Blakeleigh and Jonathans day to. It thrill my heart to see you betend(pretend) to be uncle Zack and preach to me, or how you imitate the way Bro. Michael plays the Buptart( guitar).  I can't wait to hear all those little songs you sing and the bedtime prayers before bedtime.  I love you kennleigh bug and Happy Birthday:-)

God is Good ALL THE TIME GOD IS SO GOOD

God is wonderful I don't think we can say that enough.  Our family has been through a lot lately.  Uncle Kenny has been sick battling cancer, yet he has been so strong the whole time.  He has taught me a few things Pray, Pray, Pray.  I have prayed my whole life, since I was big enough to know how, but he has showed me something through prayer in ways others may not understand. I think about a song I heard if you don't feel like praying.. Pray, WHen you have done all you can. Just pray, WHen you feel that you can't get through... Pray.  It doesn't matter what we face we can face it with prayer.  God listens to us a we pray.  He knows what is best for our lives and what we need, but wants us to talk with him through prayer.  Six months ago I gave birth to my second little girl, and I may not have shared before but the HOly Spirit woke me up on the morning I would go to the hospital about 12:00 A.M.  I was leaving home at 1:30, but something told me to go and pray.  I thought this is crazy I have a long day ahead of me could God have not woke someone else up to pray for me:? Well for all I know HE did that too.  I got up and obeyed the holy spirit I anoited each door facing in our house even the one in the nursery where no baby had slept yet.  I felt that I was suppose to do this, but had no idea why.  I prayed that God would not allow me to bare much pain that this woulld be a supernatural deal it would be painless and quick.  I also prayed that God would work with Kennleigh's heart that she would loves this little girl that we would soon see more than life itself.  Amazing at how GOd worked that day.  Exacty two minutes before they were going to do a C-section came Dr. Duggar and his statements was I knew God was going to do something great after I saw you this morning I began to pray.  I knew we talked about it several times because blakeleigh was suppose to be a whopper that We wanted to do this natural if anyway possible.  At 4:58 Blakeleigh Campbell Lee arrived.  Kennleigh has never loved anything so much she rocks and sings this little baby everyday.  In fact, she cries if Blakeleigh don't want her to hold her.  I love watching them both grow each day it is quit amazing.  It also takes me back to my years at home when me and Ashley would play the way they do.  SOme may not be aware but Blakeleigh became sick about the age of two months she had some issues going on with her stomach.  We stayed a Children's a couple of nights and realized that God was in control.  SHe quit breathing for about a minute or two and again the holy spirit spoke pray.  I prayed and blew in her face and she regained a breathe before the doctor ever arrived.  I have though so many time how that could have been her very last breathe but that wasn't God's plan.  After medicine and deciding that she would start taking formula and not just any formula but a very special pricey one.  Not complaining though it was great! We came home taking prevacid for acid reflux.  Yesterday we were told Blakeleigh is completely healed she is just perfect, growing just the way Dr. Brannon thinks she should and life is Great. I tell you the God I serve still does miracles he is a might powerful God.  I thank God each day for my girls and what he has done to bless me and my family.  I like the song that says I saw GOd today.  IF we truly look we can see God everyday!!!

Being an encourager......

I was listening to 90.9 the other day and heard a very important thought so I decided to share.  THe guy simply said if your family and friends had a encourage meter what would it read?  I thought for a little while and then a little while longer, and said well that is something to think about.  IF you were waiting on someone to encourage you now days you might have a low number on your reader.  It is important that in out busy schedule we rareley take the time to say nice things, but how funny it is that we often take the time to say something negative or to cut someone else down.  I thought to myself for a while on how to encourage someone thats pretty easy you can encourage your own kids with simple a clap of praise for walking or pat on the back for a job well done.  It is so easy to think of nice things we should try more often to do so.  If we filled our days with prayer, bible reading, and encouraging think just how the world would be if we started off on a encouraging note.  I do encourage you to do so this week if you read this to make it a point to make someones day.

Exciting Things....

As many of know I have two children.  I also have two neices and a nephew who are just as close to my heart as my own kids.  We have had some exciting things happen lately though with all of the children.  It is always exciting to see kids explore, have great days, and learn new things.

I will first start with Blakeleigh I have not blogged in a awhile about her accomplishments so at three months we were rolling over.  I think she decided she might as well master this because kennleigh told her it was time, and well she ment it was time.  When t we would put her on her stomach to play Kennleigh would say Okay little lady roll over like this, and well if she didn't Kennleigh would flip her over.  She never hurt her but I guess she motivated her.  About four and a half months old she started teething, we haven't got those in just yet but almost there though, and she has found her fingers and her toes.  She absoulutly loves to chew on her toes.

That brings me to Jonathan he WALKED.  Yes you heard me he walked over to get Blakeleigh.  I thought it was so funny because he got excited while he was trying get to her and Kennleigh was singing "Trouble in my Way"( she does this when we get onto her) Jonathan just stops and starts dancing how funny is that.   I wish I would have had my video camera, but maybe next time.

Then There is Lexi, well not alot of people may know but Lex has had some trouble hearing.  SO Dr. Woolley decided it would be a help to do surgery and put in a piece in the left ear to help transmit the sound waves.  The good new is She came through surgery just fine.  The sad thing is there is still one more procedure set up on Nov.7.  SO two weeks after that she should be able to hear just like the rest of us.  Pretty amazing right?

Then there is Breanna and Kennleigh They are both turning three this year.  They are exactly three months apart in age, and they are like best friends.  This is a good thing especially since they will be in the same class at  school.  They play together so well and look out for one another.  They like to set up and band and breanna will play the piano and kennleigh the Buptart- this is a guitar.  Then kennleigh will sing one song then breanna gets a turn.  It is so funny watching them play they have grown up way to fast.

Tooooooooooooooooooo Funnnnnnnnnnny.... and way tooo much fun not to share!

So we have had a funny week.... . Well at least me and Karissa have had a productive, but quit funny week.  It all started when we sort-of- talked each other into painting our Den.  Well I went and bought paint, then called Karissa and told her I had it and within two hours wow she arrived.  We grabbed some supper and then started to work.  Shane said, "what are yall doing."  O, did I forget to tell you um.... we are painting.  Shane being the kind person he is said O okay, but I am probably not going to be helping too much this time, but it will look great when yall are through.  Yes, he did help by choice and was so excited I am just sure of it.  So me and Karissa got a new name from this project. Martha and Stewart because together he said we would surely pull of a martha stewart look.  Well on Monday Karissa one one side of the den and me one on the other I heard a scream Like somone was dying.  I said what is it? Karissa replys, " Its Paint O goodness there is Paint in my eye call the Poison Control.  So while on the phone with poison control I grabbed Blakeleigh's clean bottle filled it with 8oz of COLD WATER and pushed Karissa head over the sink and started washing her eye out.  However Travis seemed to be the only one overly concerned as we were telling the story and from others we got strange replys.  Nannie said maybe yall should get some googles so that things like this want happen.  Really Nannie, O my could you picture that I really started to buy a pair just to get pictures to send to Nannie of how ridiculus we looked.  By the way, I guess it was a great idea it just got to being funny to us.  So then on to on to Wednesday night we decided to go to Mcdonalds after church with some friends, and since we had already eat supper we went get a ice cream and fellowship.  So we decided again how funny it would be to order something not on the menu like a #15 with no mustard.  The man behind the register says you mean a number 14 no sir a # 15.  He looked puzzled turn and look at the menu and says I am sorry maam we don't have one of those. My reply Okay just make that 3 vanilla ice cream cones.  Saturday we went to the Menopause musical.  It was so funny we could not stop laughing, and I think one of the best things is we got to have some big girl time.  This simply meant we carried on conversations without babies crying or needing something for a couple of hours.  Although many may disagree I think all Momma's and Daddy's deserve a little break with talking to there spouse or other adults with out interuption.  I feel that this is important and helps you be a better parent so that you don't get stressed.  If you were stressed Saturday I feel that you weren't when we left the musical because laughter is so good for the soul.  By the way girls we need to do this again.  So the laughs did not end there Me and Karissa come back to my house and ride the golf cart with shane and kennleigh.  We had a great time with them on our evening stroll.  Saturday night we start to paint and I gave Kennleigh some scissors, paint, sketch pad, and markers to keep her mind busy.  Kennleigh opens the little box I had it in and says Great day in the Morning yall must love me look at all this stuffis.  How funny is that Kids are so cute.  By the way Karissa Thanks for helping Paint you did a great job.  I am so glad we got the eye straighten out!!!!!!  I forgot to mention that I told Poison control that I had a nineteen year old who got paint in there eye wander what they thought, and they did call to check on her like three times.

Childlike Faith...

What if we all had as much faith as a child?  You teach children as infants that they are dependent on you for food, water, and clothes. I mean really think about it when your newborn baby cries a parent tries everything to soothe them.  I know this is what I do.  WHen my kids cry are ask for something I try everything in my power to get it for them.  Not all there wants, but needs such as food and water.  I know early on we took both of our girls to church.  People thought we were Crazy when I had Kennleigh becasue we took her during flu season, cold weather, hot weather, well needless to say she went everytime the door was open.  I will have to say it has paid off.  Kennleigh fell  off of Uncle Zack's horse (Spook) and broke the two bones in her wrist in Feburary.  Kennleigh also loves to ride and hangout around the chicken house with Tops and her Dad.  Well after Kennleigh had fallen she said Jesus is going to heal this arm mom.  I said yes He can Kennleigh you just Pray and ask Jesus to Heal you.  So we did we prayed for Kenneleigh's arm, but because her cast was aggrivating she wanted to take it off, but that was a big No and I told her when your cast comes off it will mean that your arm is healed.  I was meaning when the Doctor cut it off.  SO one day Kenneleigh and SHane were headed to andalusia to get some fence post.  About thirty minutes passed by and I get a phone call that sounds a little like Dad might be panicy.  He said, "Leigh, your daughter just touched the back of her cast and it fell in the floor of my truck."  "SHe through up her hands and hollared Praise the Lord you have done it again you have healed my arm."  No doubt it could have been healed I called the doctor and he said it probably was that we would take a look on Monday.  DId I mention its Friday and we had to threaten her to keep this on all weekend.  Well on Monday we found out all is well.  SO the six weeks we were suppose to wear a cast we got it off in 3 weeks.  Amazing right! I certainly thought so, and since then if someone is sick she will pray for them and SHe has faith each time that God will take care of the needs of the people she prays for.

Our Vacation.........So much fun

Friday we left around 9:00 A.M. and took Kennleigh down to Orange Beach.  We had a blast.  We decided to take the Foley Beach express even though it did mean paying to cross the toll bridge.  Kennleigh was so ready to see the water we knew this would be the quickest way and as we crossed the bridge she could look to the right or the left and see water. :) We has so much fun she got to see a plane land on the way to the toll bridge and she thought this was so quick.  When those little blue eyes spotted the water O they just filled with excitement.  For someone who had been to the beach when she was 1 and again 2 she was supper excited this time.  She will be three in August and she has gotten taller.  SHe was able to to ride the go karts at THe Track and she thought she was so big. I think we ended up going to the track like four times.  She rode the train, the bumper boats, the horses, and ALL of the little rides that took like .50 to ride.  Hey it was fine by us they were in the shade and she was laughing and having a good time.  We went to Jake's for supper and Kennleigh said she needed some steak.  Really, steak for a three year old.. okay not usually, but Friday night it was a Yes.  We went down to Foley and did a little shopping and played in the center park unitl 9:00 P.M.  When we got back to the Hotel she needed to go back to the beach and for a swim.  She loved the beach she played with the sand a little unsure of the waves, but she did adjust quickly.  We then went to the pool they had to kick us out to clean it at midnight.  She refused to leave at 11:00 and I was not making her get out until the security guard came around. She met two friends from Lousiana who were teenagers. SHe is growny they loved Kennleigh's accent so on Saturday night they went up and got there entire family to come to the pool.  They sat on by the one and half foot deep kiddy pool and listen to her fill them full of stories some true, but most not for a solid hour.  This is no exaggeration I timed it because I was amazed that they sat there that long.

Saturday morning we slept in and then it was back to the track and over to adventure Island that afternoon.  Saturday morning at 9 we went to Mr. Walter and Mrs. Jacki Mixon.   We had a blast.  This is a couple from our church they come to church with us when they stay here in Mckenzie, but this weekend they were in Magnolia Springs at there home where they have there boat.  We went out on the boat for about two hours.  Kennleigh pretended to drive, then Mr. walter let her blow the horn on the boat, they got her a pepsi to drink so she could ride and look.  SHe road down the river and waved at some girls they new and she hollars Hey guls ( girls) like she had known them forever.  Thanks so much Mr. Walter and Mrs. Jacki for your hospitality and taking us out on the boat we all had such a great time.  Kennleigh now thinks that Paw Paw is suppose to buy her a boat though.  Karissa brought little Blakeleigh bug to us Saturday evening, the reason for this is Blakeleigh is like Momma she don't like heat.  I mean who could blame her, but I do enjoy getting outside with my girls and then its even more exciting when I come back inside and feel that nice AC the Lord has blessed us with.  Karissa and Landon came down and did our family portraits, and then we went to eat at O'Charley's with Karissa and Landon we had a great time talking and laughing with them.  Kennleigh loves Mr. Allen this would be Landon where allen came from we are not sure.  Well now she calls him Landon but she thinks he is Karissa's daddy.  How funny is that.  So after we left Karissa we went to TCBY and had Ice cream and then back to the hotel for some Pool and Beach time.  We visited with our out of town friends and let kennleigh tell about How good of a roper she was and how many crowns she had won.  The funny thing is she has never roped off of spook just rode and played with a rope on the ground.  They thought her and uncle Zack were team roping pros for the longest time until I corrected it.  I just laughed it was just funny.

SO SUnday Moring we got up and went to get Airbrushed T- shirts and went back to the Track we went to play at the park.  She was so sad when it was time to leave, but that did not last long she was so tired by four when we headed home she just fell over the console and went right to sleep.   Blakeleigh was great on SUnday and loved our walk at the park and Sliding down the slide.  She as well just slept on the way home .  Blakeleigh loved letting us put her at the edge of the beach water and letting it run on her toes.   This is a trip I will never forget and we do indeed look forward to going back and having a great time.  Our next trip we are planning to take Aunt Ashley, Uncle Kyle, and Jonathan this will be lots of fun.

An outstanding weekend................Filled with lots of fun

I only know one way to describe our weekend and that was Amazing.  I first must say that I am thankful for the millitary who has fought and who are still fighting for our freedom.  I take it a great privelage to live in this Great Country.

Our  weekend started on Friday.  Shane and I took the kids to eat late Friday night at Mcdonalds, and then we went and bought groceries.  We ran into Uncle David, Aunt La La, and Carsyn.  I did not know that me and Lauren seem to be the ones with the night owls.  Oh, how blessed we are and I do truly mean that from the bottom of my heart.  I will dread the day Kennleigh starts school because after everyone has gone to bed me and her will Pile up on the couch to watch a movie at least once a week all by ourselves.  Usually on Fridays we tend to have Family night and have popcorn, coke, and a diet mountain dew.  It is so relaxing after a long day to just get to talk with the kids and play with baby dolls on Friday afternoon.  Anyway back to Friday night Kennleigh being the sweet little angel she is talked her daddy into another baby doll, like we don't have enough.  He keeps telling me do not let her get another baby we pick them up all the time.  He says she has way to many, but I think little girls probably just never get enought baby dolls.  I would have to think this would be like a lady and shoes.  However, I am not the one that gives into the baby doll thing it is her dad.  I swear she has him wrapped so tight around that little finger.  All she has to do is say the word most of the time and he will do everything in his power to fix all of her problems.

Well I guess you could say Saturday and Sunday were pretty normal.  We went down to Granny and Paw Paws for a jeep ride with Landon.  Kennleigh loves playing at paw's as I have mentioned before.  They have a fenced in yard and she can just run for miles.  Then we went to nannies to swim with Jonathan, Aunt Ashley and Uncle Kyle.  This is always fun and we have to do the motor boat go so fast thing.  They did have a bowl and even went to Jonathans Grandmother's for a cook out and took Kennleigh along.  She is so blessed to have everybodys grandmother and grandad look after her too.

Monday was finally here we went to granny and Paw Paw's that morning and cooked out for lunch.  We let the kids run and play.  Paw took them for a ride on the golf cart, then they took turns on the tractors, and then even a few rounds of hide- n- go - seek.  Kennleigh and Jonathan were so excited to see Uncle Pete.  Uncle Pete is like there best friend he takes them places and feeds them things that no one else will.  Uncle Pete works in Mobile most of the week and he is rarley here and the kids miss him terribly.  I hate Aunt Keri and the girls must share him when he is home I know they miss him too.  If the kids find out he is home it is over they have to call and get him to run to granny's house.  Then off to nannies for some pool side fun, grilling, making ice cream, and playing volley ball.  I have been forbidden to share anything about the volley ball game, but I will say if you think your were crazy for playing the answer is no.  You let everyone know that you are capable of having fun.  I think everyone that played had a outstanding time and the pictures that I did take I choose not share but they are diffently as Kennleigh says to Tops we just making memberies tops.  In our language that would be making memories.  It was great to see Uncle Kenny and Aunt Pam Monday at Nannies too.  I hope they had as much fun as we did.  It was such a nice fun visit with many laughs.

Thanks to everyone that helped out and made the family celebration a success.

Funny.....

Okay this blog is just for record of what the our children call things.  I know that when we were growing up we had certain words for different things that were probably funny, but tonight Kennleigh has put a new meaning to the word funny.

  • dieboard- diving board
  • Uncle Travis - Trabis
  • Shadrack - the one in the bible ( she's a rock)
  • Fluffies ( floaties that you wear in the swimming pool)
  • Camro - this is my camera
  • Competer - computer
  • hay field- whole field
  • Leadertard- this is the thing they wear to Gymnastics.. how funny
  • river- ribber
  • Bright Bright is the angel that appeared to Mary in the Bible to tell her she was going to have a son named Jesus.
  • Aunt Vicki ( Aunt Bicki)
  • Bolleyball - volley ball
  • gymnastics- gynastics
A few more funny saying in her little country voice is:

  • I think you probably fixin make me mad.
  • I am fixing go see aunt ashley at Ganastics ( gymnastics)
  • If she doesn't want to do something she will fall over and say "O, Mama, I think am sick"
  • If I tell her to sing a certain song and she doesn't want to her response, I don't think its a good time for me to talk right know.
  • On Sunday Morning she state I am going to need to go to Chuldrens church ( Children's Church) to see Z (ZI ZI).
I have the best of time just listening to her and Grace tell each other how to talk.  It was so funny on the way to Gymnastics the other day when Grace asked Kennleigh did she want to come to the river and ride the contoon boat.  Kennleigh says yes Grace I will leave yesterday night.  Grace said first we need to go to gymnastics and then change out of your lidtard.  Kennleigh says no Grace a leadertard.  They argue back and forth and I could not even correct them for a little giggle.  Kids do say the funniest thing.  I enjoy letting Grace come play with Kennleigh they have so much fun together.  They just keep each other busy and you never know what they will say are do.  Me and  Blakeleigh get to watch the contestants at dance, gymnastics, and so much more.  There is never a dull moment When they are around.  Infact I told Vicki I think we have the two Drama Queens of the family.  The scary thing is I hear they act just like there Momma's did when we were little.  Thank God we were Good little Drama queens... Right Aunt Bicki ( Vicki)

A Blessed Insurance salesman

I know my title may seem a little odd to some, but it is a inside joke between me and one of the most important people I know.  She is my State Farm girl.  Many of you may not realize who this is but it is my best friend once of the aunts to my children and most of all my wonderful sister.  Words will not describe how much I care about her.  She reminds me when my insurance is due.  I am not sure if she does this because she thinks I will forget or she don't want people to look at her bad if it happened to be late.  I always have paid my bill on time, but she never forgets to let me know when it is time for my statement to come out.  I appreciate all that she has done for me in the past from the late night talks, homework help, and a babysitter.

Ashley has always been there when no one else was.  She was the one who occupied Kennleigh while Blakeleigh was arriving.  She also was there when Kennleigh was born- a little late but she made it exactly one second after she was born.  Ashley is a wonderful mother to Jonathan and a great wife to Kyle.  Ashley works a full time job at work and at home, but what mom don't.  I know Ashley is not a blogger so I have threatned to start blogging about Jonathan so that he will have something to read about one day. Ha HA.

I truly do thank the God each day for putting you in my life and I thank God for all that you have done for me and all your wonderful help with my children.  I may not tell you this a lot but I love you and thanks for all you do.

Love you
Aunt Ash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our Doctors visit..............sisterly love

It is always very interesting when we go to the Doctor.  Our pediatrician is Dr. Susan Brannon in Montgomery,AL.  I must say we aboslutely love her and Missy( the nurse).  They are two of the most patient people I know in the medical field.  Missy was my nurse when I was a little girl, and I am not sure why, but when we go to the Doctor kennleigh calls her Aunt Missy.  We felt this was a little random, but it is respectful so what can I say.  I am not sure if Kennleigh thinks everybody must be her aunt or uncle because we have such large families or exactly why everyone has to be aunt and uncle.  Today while we where waiting on Dr. Brannon, Missy came in and ask whats going on with Blakeleigh today? Before I could reply, Kennleigh says in these exact words,"Well she is sick you know, she is fussy, and My word missy we can't do anything with the child."  What was I to say I had to reply well she is just not sleeping and she is very irritable.  Missy was rolling.  It was so funny.  So then Dr. Brannon comes in a little while longer and Kennleigh insist that she check her out and what do you know she has Strep throat.  Kennleigh told Dr. Brannon don't put that stick in my mouth I'm not liking it.  Dr. Brannon assures her everything will be okay.  So it is time for Blakeleigh to be examed and Kennleigh say now yall she don't like the stick ( tongue depresser) Yall bout to make her mad and that is never good for that child.  Kennleigh acts like she is Blakeleigh's momma instead of big sister.  I know she will never have to worry about other children messing with her though because Kennleigh will take care of them for her.  I am not sure if this is all good or not!

She Stole his heart.......

I find it very interesting that Kennleigh absolutely loves her paw paw ( by the way this is her great grandaddy).  Most people know paw paw as Doc, but Kennleigh calls him Paw.  Paw Paw has never had a grandchild or grandchild that has called him anything other than paw paw except for Kennleigh.  Kennleigh watches to see if Paw is sitting on the front porch as we go by his house if he is we must stop because she says this means he needs to see her.  However, since "Paw" is a frequent front porch sitter if we are in a hurry to get some where we must detour.  Did I mention that she stays with Aunt Keri while I attend school, but if Paw is own the front porch when we get there she stays with Paw.  Infact last week she spent the morning with him on Thursday and Friday.  I know people wonder what they would have in common.... They love riding the golf cart and going to see the cows, sitting on the front porch and talking and laughing.  Paw loves to hear Kennleigh talk.  She has such a country accent.  Infact, everywhere we go people get a kick out of hearing her talk because she is so growny.   Kennleigh likes to go with Gran and Paw to eat at Sabby Dees ( Tabby D's).  She knows that the usually go on Friday so she is always asking if its Friday yet.  Fridays sometimes mean a trip by walmart to talk Paw into a New baby.  She is usually successful because she will tell him if she leaves the baby at Malmart (walmart) that it will cry because the other babies don't like her.  She will even say awe paw she just loves me so much we can't make her sad.  I know this seems crazy but she takes lots of time trying to pick out a baby.. She knows right where the baby aisle is.. He thinks this so funny, yet he still seems to take her to see all the babies.  What can we say she has him wrapped around her tiny finger!!!!!!!!!!!!

We love you Paw!!!! Thanks for all the days I could skipp daycare..- kennleigh

What A Day

Okay so I had a arron that I had to run this morning pretty early. As most of you already know it had to rain this morning, and I thank God for the rain don't get me wrong.  We did definetly need it.  Well I can't help but laugh now at how clumsy my day has been.  This morning I was downtown Greenville and it was raining pretty hard, I was gracefully walking down the side walk when all of a sudden my foot slipped out from under me I landed face first into the Career center bulding ( the whole front side is glass)  I  mean really what would you have thought if your were sitting at one of the computers, it storming out side and then a lady boom fall into the window!!! Funny now... SO not funny then.  I am fine incase anyone is wondering just laughing each time I think of the reinactment.  So then I have to run to Troy to upload a web page.  I called my teacher and she said that everything was great to come on.  I got there and what do you know the lab is not available until after one...Did I mention that its 10:00.  Really, like what am I going to do in Troy until 1:15.  Well that wasn't hard to figure out Aunt Lisa called and needed me to run pick up a few things, and they helped with two hours of my time to kill.  By the way thanks Zi Zi!!!! I had to grab some material to make Jonathan's little outfit for his birthday and then ran across the cutest material to make Kennleigh's outfit for her third birthday.  Well like that is not enough a state trooper flies up behind me turns his lights on so I proceed to get off the road to find out what I have done wrong and what do you know he was just in a hurry.  I knew that I wasn't speeding so the whole time I am trying to figure out what in the world I have done.  Thank you Lord that for once I was driving perfect.  Okay so now I am headed to church because a day like this the devil must be trying to keep me away and I am determined to recieve God's message tonight.

P.s. Hope this made some of you laugh that has had a rough day or even a rough week.

Busy but Fun....

Our weekend started Friday afternoon.  I have had a pretty busy schedule with school this summer, but I had finished all of my work Thursday. This is super exciting when you have worked extremly hard trying to maintain the busy life of school, homework, playing with the kids, and spending time with the family.  Needless to say, this weekend we made time for everything Friday night we went to Burger King with Shane's sister and nieces.  They had a blast they played for a couple of hours on the playground since it was to wet outside to play.  We thought this would be a great way for them to play and burn off some energy since they had been shut in most of the day.  Well the funny story of the night is Kennleigh and Breanna got to the top of the slide and was terrified..... So guess he went to help them alone Shane.  I looked around and Shane and Kennleigh are comming down the slide with Breanna not far behind..  Well then the girls thought that I had to show them how to play so then I had to go and play and show them that it was okay to have a little fun.  We did have a great time from the laughs of the "big kids" playing to our little monkies climbing on the netting.  I must say we will have to do this more often.

Saturday we had Carsyn's birthday party. It is so hard to believe that she is a year old.  They do grow up enitrely to fast.  They had a big water slide and a little kid pool for the kids to play in, and once again it was a big hit.  All the kids had a blast.  Kennleigh a little unsure of the slide, but was half way determined she was going slide with some help.  We must say a big thanks to Aunt Bicki( vicki) for being the brave one that decided to take Kennleigh down the slide.  Kennleigh has not forgot this infact, she says she must love me momma.  I told kennleigh aunt Vicki does love her and wanted her to have a good time.  It was hard to get Kennleigh to leave the pary.  Pop Pop had to drive her on the golf cart down the dirt road so that I could grab her really quick and head home for a nap.  Me and her both took a three hour nap.. we were Zapped. Shane was so sweet to get Blakeleigh to sleep so that we could all rest for a little while.

Saturday afternoon we went to Nannie and Papa's for a little time by the pool.  We called Uncle Josh and Aunt Vicki, and Grace. We decided to have a pizza picnic at the pool and let the children swim.  We did indeed have tuns of fun.  Aunt Lisa, Uncle Robbie, Dylan, Daniel, Kaylee, and Carsyn even came and joined us.  ZiZi saved the day is teaching Kennleigh to swim and go down the slide and be a brave little girl.  I must say that she is doing a FANTASTIC job.  We did ask Aunt Ashley and Jonathan to come as well, but little man decided to take a late aftenoon nap.  I don't blame Aunt Ash either for not waking him.

Sunday we went to Nannie and Papa's had some ice cream with Daddy's family and went for another swim.  I know the kids were just water logged by Monday morning.  We had a busy but Fun weekend with family time and parties.  I am so thankful that God has blessed us with such a great family.

THIS IS FOR A SPECIAL PERSON....................

I know it is a little early, but do we really have say happy Father's day once a year?  Happy Father's Day and I love you.  I would just like to say thank you for always being there.  I appreciate all the things that you did for me growing up as well as now.  I know that I probably caused much anxiety when you where teaching me to drive, but what can I say you were always there.  I will never forget the days driving down the road with you and you saying if "I can just make it back home" "O Lord just plant my feet on solid ground."  Everytime I think back to that year I got my permit I can't help but laugh a little.  One other fawn member comes to mind is when I would come home from Montgomery on the weekends and while everyone was working or in school the two of us would travel around to other farms to see if they needed sawdust.. I never will forget when Mom called me on Monday and told me that people that you left Mama for a real young women how they could not believe you would do such a thing...Little did I know I was the other women.  You always did provide a great living for your family, and you made sure our needs where met and most of our wants.  You never liked to be called Father, infact your reply was there is only one Father and that is God, and I am your daddy.  I appreciate all the morals, values, and work ethic that you taught us on a daily basis.  Thank you for loving me and my Family. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Special Thanks......

This is just a simple way to say thanks to all the wonderful people in my life.  I know that I could not have made it this far on my own.  I thank God each day that he put each of you in my life.  I am also thakful to look and see how he blesses me each day through my children, school work, and the list goes on.

To my family, thank you for being there to help out with the kids.  I appreciate the little rides on the golf carts in the afternoon while I finish up assignments.  Oh and then the late night runs to walmart to get a new jump drive and a printer because both of mine have decided to malfunction.  In the middle of what I call a crises, yall call it life and are right there to help. May God bless each of you.  Daddy I appreciate you teaching Kennleigh how to check the feed. You may not know it but your long explanations she picks up and it enhances her vocabulary skills. Shane and Mommy thanks for all the talks about not getting too stressed out.  I am working on this one, but I haven't quit got it mastered yet...

Then there is Aunt Lisa, I mean what can I say expect THANK  YOU for all your help.  I appreciate the sewing lesson, this is a great stress reliever.  I love having my papers proof read by a simple click of a button, and right to your email it goes.  I know that you are very busy working with the grandkids, your school projects, and gymnastic events so I just want to say thanks.  I really appreciate you teaching Kennleigh to swim and helping her adjust to her own Sunday School Class.  I am not sure which thinks more highley of you me are Kennleigh. She tells me everynight as we pray that we need to pray for you, you are the best.  Kennleigh told me the other day that you teach her all kinds of stuff.  She said momma " She teached me that big ole' song about the house going splat."  I figured out that this song is "The foolish man built his house upon the sand."  She has very dramatic stories about the Bright Bright- Where the angel tells Mary she will have a little boy.  Everyone truly needs to hear Kennleigh tell this story.  Thanks for all you do us.

Don't forget about Aunt Keri, She is the kids babysitter.  She is doing a great job and we love her very much.  Kennleigh tells me how she makes sure that Aunt Keri takes good care of Jonathan and Blakeleigh.  We know that she takes great care of all the kids, but Kennleigh thinks she is being a big helper to let us know how many times they nap and eat with Aunt Keri.  In fact, Kennleigh informed me the other night that Aunt Keri was teaching her to play the piano, and I must say I am glad this is a talent I was not blessed with.  Thanks for teaching  the kids little important things such as praying when someone is sick, how to play the piano, and so much more.  THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing is Impossible......

What I thought was impossible..well lets just say it is very possible.  I am taking a course at Troy this Summer in Technology.  Needless to say, we do a lot of things on the computer.  I had completed ALL of my assignments and was fixing to back all of my work up on a second jump drive.  One jump drive everything was saved from the first assignment to the last.  I was so proud to have completed all work.  However, after I transported all items to a back up jump drive, and I saved the items successfully.  The reason for having to jump drives is one must be turned in to our professor, and I simply wanted to keep a copy.  I went to open the jump drive and print it late last night, and what do you know it litterly burnt up.  The flash drive started smoking, so I grabbed it really quickly out of the computer.  I forgot to mention that it was so hot that it burned a print of my thumb in the flash drive.  I have created this blog just to remind my self to never under estimate technology.

Where does the time go.....

I can't believe that Kennleigh will be three years old in 2 months.  This is really unbelievable it seems that just yesterday I was holding in her in my arms and rocking her.  Time sure flies.  I have been able to see many things over the past three years just watching her.  She is a loving child, and she is very helpful, she forgets nothing that you tell her, and she is my drama queen(not sure where in the world she could have inherited this trait).  I love nothing more but to watch her each day talk, sing, and play with her sister.  She will sing her little heart out just so Blakeleigh want cry.  It is amazing watching what little mommy she has become.  There are days I see my self in her and that is just scary.  I have to admit even when I thought she wasn't listening she was. God truly blessed us with Kennleigh and I know my life would be pretty boring with out her.  She keeps me laughing and smiling even when it would very easy to be frustrated.

Funny story about Kennleigh is the other night I was working on some homework and I simply said under my breath "O, I am getting so aggrevated." Kennleigh replies back, " Mom, I don't like when you get aggribated."  Bless her heart, she did not even know what for it just turned my stess mode into a giggle.. it is so funny when they can't talk plain.

Then there is Blakeleigh she just turned four months old.  She started smiling at me when she was two months, she would fuss and roll over with me at three months, and now at four months she is  giggling up a storm. I am not comparing her to Kennleigh by any means, but it does seem that she will keep us running to.  Blakeleigh hates to lay down unless its bed time, yet she still must fight her sleep.  She loves playing in the swing and her bouncey bright seat.  She will laugh and play with Kennleigh for what seems like hours.  It has been such a blessing that she has spiked such great appetite.  She can not hardly wait to get her apples and oatmeal ever  morning at 10:00.  If I am late with her brunch.. Well she lets me know it.  Blakeleigh has been a blessing to in so many different ways that Kennleigh.  She just lets us hold and talk to her.  Infact, she just loves being held, which is a good thing for Kennleigh.  We thank God each night for sending Kennleigh and Blakeleigh our way.  My prayer each day is that God directs there paths and they will do the work that God has for them.

Another Blessing

On June 20, 2010 I found out that we would be getting another little bundle of joy.  I really wasn't sure what to expect this pregnancy it was so different than the first.  It was amazing to see God work through this nine months as well.  Kennleigh and I would talk about getting a new baby that she could help mama and daddy love, and how that she would be able to hold the baby, and we would pray and sing everyday.  Kennleigh was so excited she informed me more than once that God was sending her a brother.  She has such a grown up little mind.  She said Praise the Lord He has done it again.  My reply was what Kennleigh? Who did it? She says," Momma God's done it again."  I ask again what did he do?  Kennleigh said, " Momma he is sending John Parker and he loves me."  We had found out just prior to this we were having a little girl.  I asked Kennleigh are you sure he didn't say Blakeleigh.  Kennleigh once again says did you not hear me mama he said John Parker.  I went and had a 4d ultrasound done just to see if they had made a mistake.  This went on for months.  I put the nursery together and She would still say, Mama that is pretty but John parker is not going to like it.  Needless to say as a mom you don't want your children to be disappointed.  I began to pray and ask God to let Kennleigh love her sister or brother what ever it may be.  I wasn't doubting that itcould be a boy because this had happened in our family once before.  I was so nervous I even bought two little boy outfits just in case.  The night before I had the baby I felt led to pray for our househould.  Due to the fact that Shane was sleeping so good and Kennleigh was with Aunt Ashley, I just simply went into each room and prayed for Blakeleigh( the new edition),Shane, myself, and Kennleigh.  Everything worked out great. The night Blakeleigh arrived Kennleigh could not have been any prouder.  I will never forget she would walk down the hall and ask everyone to  come in and see there sister.  The nurses were great they just made a big deal over her being a sister, they came in and held her to make Kenneleigh happy and they would just simply smile as kennleigh sang about her new sister.  After we moved down the hall several of the nurses came by and started talking with us about where we attended church, about Kennleigh, and just other random conversations.  I forgot to mention, that as I had prayed through the pregnancy  I simply ask God to allow me to be a great example to others.  I asked that other people would be able to see Jesus through my family.  I know that my prayer was answered, and I thank God for the opportunities he gave us to share about His miraclous Love.
Blakeleigh was born Feb.2,2011.

My Cup is Running Over........

I had been praying for several years that God would send me a husband.  I prayed for what seemed like a long time, about five or six years.  I was about fourteen when I realized that I was approaching dating age. In my parents eyes,  we were not aloud to date until we were sixteen, and really this is not a bad idea.  I have to appreciate the raising that God blessed me with each day.  However, I will not lie I thought some of there rules were a little weird, but what teenagers doesn't.  We still joke about the fact that until the day I got married that I had to be home during the week at 9:00.  By the way, I think I was the only child that had to be home at 9:00.  God truly blessed me with a wonderful husband. We will be married four years on July 14.  Shane has been everything I have prayed for and much more.  One thing that I learned when I was praying for a husband is that God sees the bigger picture.  It is easy for us to focus on a small piece of the puzzle, but God knows the end results.  I am reminded of Jer. 29:11 when it simply tells us that He knows the plans that he has for us, plans for a hope and a future.  I have to thank God each day for all the blessings that he places in my life each day.  I sing a song at church call "Drinking from my Saucer," in this song it talks about being blessed so much that your cup is overflowing.  Each day that I live I can look around and truly see that my cup has overflowed many times.

Several Months after we married I found out that I would be having a baby.  This was overwhelming, and exciting.  I could not wait until I would find out the babies' gender.  I will never forget it Shane and I would take quizzes on the internet to see if we could figure out what gender the baby would be.  I know this sounds crazy, but it was exciting.  I could hardly wait until my twenty week ultrasound when they would tell me the babies' gender.  Finally the day came, the baby was not wanting to take any part in our game of finding out his gender.  We tried everything, finally after an hour and half she decided to cooperate.  They finally told me its a girl.  One could only imagine my excitement.  I was excited it would be about four months and Kennleigh Taylor would arrive on August 22,2008.  I counted down the days.  I could not wait until she would be born, and I could come home and just rock and sing my heart out.  It didn't work this way with Kennleigh.  In fact, I thought I would get to sit and hold her for at least four months... Not.  Kennleigh had other plans for Mama, we would be sitting up at three and half months, crawling at four and a half and walking at ten months.  I learned so much from Kennleigh everyday.  I will never forget the day that I truly learned from her.  Kennleigh and I were going to go shopping, and I had been teaching her how to clap and she just would not do it.  It really did not matter what I tried or how hard I begged she refused to clap.  I was driving and practicing my song that I would sing at church on Sunday.  I herd something and glanced in my mirror. Yes, it was Kennleigh clapping and laughing while I sang.  God revealed something to me that day.  It was like he said,Leigh, do you see how she did that when she was ready or her timing, thats how I work in My timing.  He was saying he is always Right on time and amazingly enough he used my eight month old child to reveal this to me.  I knew that God worked in his timing, but I had not thought about it like this before this particular day.

So we had two and half wonderful years with three of us.  Kennleigh always kept us on our toes.  We never knew what she would say or do, but each day was a true blessing from God.
